Edain hail from the vast forests of Ambrein and Norroth. They have adapted to this rustic life style and lost the natural talents for art and magic that their brethren have. Instead they have become adapt at living in harmony with nature using what the world provides. Wood elves see themselves as guardians of the forest and do what they can to protect their woodland homes. They are very defensive of trees and see forests as helpless victims that cannot fight for themselves. Edain are masters of the hunt and adept at living off the land. They tend to dress in simple clothes, usually earth tones, that blend into their natural surroundings.

Ability Score Racial Traits: Edain are nimble, both in body and mind, but life in the wild has made it hard to relate to others. They gain +2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, and –2 Charisma.

Type: Edain are Humanoids with the elf and fey subtype.
Base Speed: Edain have a base speed of 30 feet.
Languages: Edain begin play speaking Common, Sylvan, and Elven.
Feat and Skill Racial Traits
Silent Hunter: Edain are renowned for their subtlety and skill. Edain receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception, and Stealth checks. In addition, Edain with this racial trait reduce the penalty for using Stealth while moving by 5 and can make Stealth checks while running at a –20 penalty (this number includes the penalty reduction from this racial trait).
One With Nature: Edian receive a +2 bonus on handle animal and Knowledge Nature checks.
Life in the Wild: Edain gain Self-Sufficient and Light Step as bonus feats and Survival is always considered a class skill.
Basic Instinct: You gain a +2 racial bonus on Initiative checks.
Offense Racial Traits
Weapon Familiarity: Elves are proficient with longbows (including composite longbows), and shortbows (including composite shortbows).
Senses Racial Traits
Low-Light Vision: Elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.
